解説Notes

訪ねた先の人たちがみんな達者で、庭ではかぼちゃも黄色い花を咲かせている。人の元気と花の元気が同じ一行に並ぶ。久しぶりの再会のうれしさが、飾らない言葉のままこぼれている。The people he has come to visit are all in good health, and out in the garden the pumpkin has put out its yellow flowers. Human vigor and floral vigor stand side by side in a single line. The joy of a long-awaited reunion spills out in plain, unadorned words.
