丈を伸ばすことよりも先に、もう咲いている。小さな草が、育ちきるのを待たずに花をひらいた。背丈は低くとも咲くことをやめない、春の草のいさぎよさ。Before it gets around to gaining height, it is already in bloom. A tiny plant has opened its flower without waiting to finish growing. Low as it is, it does not stop blooming — the clean resolve of a spring weed.
