気がつけば、いつも一人。ふと見れば赤とんぼも一匹で、秋の空にとまっている。さびしさを嘆くのではなく、一人と一匹が同じ景色のなかに並んでいるだけ。その並び方に、かすかなあたたかさがある。秋の朝の空気によく合う句。Before he knows it, he is always alone. He glances up, and a red dragonfly too is alone, perched in the autumn sky. He does not lament the loneliness; one man and one dragonfly simply stand side by side in the same scene.
