目覚めると、部屋がいつもより明るい。雪だ。降り積もった雪が外の光をやわらかく撥ねかえして、家じゅうを静けさで満たしている。音のない明るさ、明るい静けさ。雪の朝にだけ訪れる、あの独特の空気をそのまま言いとめている。Waking, he finds the room brighter than usual. Snow. The fallen snow softly throws back the outside light and fills the whole house with stillness. A soundless brightness, a bright stillness. He fixes in words that particular air that comes only on a snowy morning.
