目覚めれば、いつもの水音がなぜか明るく聞こえる。よい知らせが届きそうな、根拠のない予感。まだ何も起きていないのに、朝だというだけで世界が少しやさしく見える。そんな気配だけを、こぼさないようにそっとすくいとった句。On waking, the usual sound of water somehow rings bright. A groundless feeling that good news is about to come. Nothing has yet happened, but simply because it is morning the world looks a little kinder. The poem gently scoops up that mere sense of things, careful not to spill it.
