梅もどきの実が赤く熟れて、目白や頬白がにぎやかに集まってくる。ついばんでは鳴き交わす小鳥たちの機嫌のよさ。赤い実と小さな鳥のさざめきに、旅人もしばし足を止めている。The winterberry fruits have ripened red, and white-eyes and buntings gather noisily around them. The good cheer of small birds pecking and calling to one another. At the red berries and the twitter of little birds, the traveler pauses a while.
