落葉を踏む足音とともに豆腐屋さんがやって来たので、豆腐を買った。それだけのことを、どこかうれしそうに書きとめている。ひとり暮らしの庵に届く、あたたかい日常のひとこま。今晩は湯豆腐だろうか、と想像したくなる。The tofu seller came along treading the fallen leaves, so he bought some tofu. He sets down that small event with something like gladness. A warm slice of daily life reaching the hermitage of a man who lives alone. One almost wants to imagine simmered tofu for supper tonight.
