病中の句。死を思うほどの状態で横たわる身に、涼しい風が吹いてくる。恐れや嘆きではなく、風の涼しさが先に立つ。命のきわで感じとった、ひとすじの心地よさ。A poem written in illness. To a body lying near enough to death to feel it, a cool wind comes blowing. Not fear, not lament — the coolness of the wind comes first. A single thread of pleasure sensed at the edge of life.
