「死線」と前書のある四句のひとつ。死をひややかなものとして眺め、その向こうに遠い空と流れる雲を置く。恐れを言い立てず、死をひとつの景色として静かに見ている。One of four poems headed "The brink of death." He gazes at death as something cold and, beyond it, sets a distant sky and drifting clouds. Without dwelling on fear, he looks quietly at death as a single landscape.
