山裾に住む友の家を、ようやく探しあてた。ほっとしたその耳に、かなかなと蜩の声が降ってくる。日暮れどきの到着だろう。たずねる労とたどり着いた安堵とを、蜩の声が包んでいる。He has finally located the house of a friend who lives at the foot of a mountain. Into his relieved ears falls the kanakana of the evening cicadas. He must have arrived at dusk. The labor of the search and the ease of arriving are gathered up in the cicadas' cry.
