町を歩けば、蕨がもう店先に並んでいる。山ではまだ出はじめたばかりだろうに。売られてゆく蕨に、春の早さと、人の暮らしの早さを見ている。Walking through town, he finds bracken already out on the shopfronts — and up in the mountains it can only just have begun to sprout. In the bracken being sold he sees the swiftness of spring and the swiftness of human life alike.
