真夏の炎天、道ばたのお地蔵さまだけがにこにこしている。歩く者は汗だくでも、石の顔は涼しげなまま。その変わらぬ微笑みに、ふと足どりが軽くなる。In the scorching height of a midsummer noon, only the roadside Jizō stone stands there smiling. The walker is drenched in sweat, but the stone face stays cool. That unchanging smile makes the step feel suddenly lighter.
