彼岸の入りの日に、ちゃんと彼岸花が咲いている。暦と花の律儀な約束に、思わず「まこと」とつぶやいた。季節は誰に言われなくても、時を違えずやって来る。On the very first day of the equinox week, the spider lilies (higanbana) are properly in bloom. At the punctual promise between calendar and flower, he murmurs "sure enough." The season, though no one tells it, arrives without ever mistaking its time.
