呼びかけられた気がして、ふりかえると落葉の林があるばかり。声の主は風か、落葉の音か。誰もいないのに、たしかに呼ばれた気がした。Feeling himself called, he turns around — but there is only a grove of fallen leaves. The caller was the wind, perhaps, or the sound of the leaves. Though no one is there, he is sure he was called.
