泊まった宿は、右を見ても左を見ても山、おまけに目の前は酒屋。山と酒をこよなく愛した山頭火には申し分のない立地である。「で」「で」と重ねる口ぶりに、隠しきれない上機嫌がにじむ。The inn he stayed at: mountains to the left, mountains to the right, and a sake shop right out front. For Santōka, who loved mountains and sake above all, the location could not be better. The repeated 'and… and…' lets his unhidden good spirits show through.
