朝風に竹がそよぎ、葉先から雫がこぼれてゆく。そのさまを「よろしさ」とまっすぐに言った。まっすぐ立って、風にはしなやかに応える竹の姿を、朝の光の中で見あげている。The bamboo sways in the morning wind, and drops fall from the tips of its leaves. He names that sight, straight out, its 'goodness.' Standing upright, answering the wind with supple ease — the bamboo's form, gazed up at in the morning light.
