朝のひかりへ蒔いておいて旅立つsowing into the morning light, then setting out

朝の光のなかへ種を蒔いて、それから旅に出る。芽の出るところを、自分は見ないかもしれない。それでも蒔いてから発つ。旅立ちの句でありながら、あとに残してゆくものへのまなざしがやさしい。「朝のひかりへ」という言葉がまぶしい。He sows the seed into the morning light, and then sets out on his journey. He may never see the place where the sprouts come up. Even so, he sows before he goes. Though it is a poem of departure, its gaze toward what he leaves behind is tender. The words "into the morning light" are dazzling.
