昭和四年、五年と九州地方を流浪しつづけた頃の句。人と別れて歩き出すと、つくつくぼうしが鳴いている。別れの余韻のなかに、蝉の声だけが続いてゆく。From 1929–30, when he wandered on and on through Kyūshū. Having parted from someone and set out walking, he hears a tsukutsukubōshi cicada crying. In the lingering wake of the farewell, only the cicada's voice goes on.
