水をへだてた向こう岸に、女たちのいる家の灯がともりはじめた。行乞の身には縁のない灯りが、水面にゆれてまたたく。夕暮れの水辺の、遠くてなまめかしい人の世。On the far bank across the water, the lights of the pleasure houses where the women are have begun to come on. Lights that have nothing to do with a mendicant's life sway and flicker on the water's surface. The distant, alluring world of people at the water's edge at dusk.
