俳友白船の住まいでの句。裏手に木が四、五本あるだけで、つくつく法師がやってきて鳴く。それだけで秋の声に事欠かない。多くを持たない住まいの豊かさを、そっと言い当てている。Composed at the home of his haiku friend Hakusen. With just four or five trees out back, a cicada comes and sings. That is enough to want for nothing among the voices of autumn. He quietly names the richness of a dwelling that holds little.
