歩くうちに道が消えた。見上げれば、木々はいまにも葉を落とそうとしている。行く先を失った旅人の前で、季節もまたひとつの終わりにさしかかる。立ち尽くす時間だけが句に残る。As he walks, the road disappears. Looking up, the trees are on the very verge of dropping their leaves. Before a traveler who has lost his way, the season too draws near one of its endings. Only the time of standing still remains in the poem.
