若い友が落葉を踏んでやって来て、恋人に逢ったなどと話す。枯れゆく季節に、若さだけがほのかに火照っている。聞くほうは黙って、落葉の音を思う。A young friend comes treading over the fallen leaves and tells how he has met his sweetheart. In the withering season, only youth glows faintly warm. The listener, saying nothing, thinks of the sound of the fallen leaves.
