師走の街、八百屋の店先の玉葱が芽をふいている。売られるのを待つあいだにも、いのちは勝手に動き出す。せわしない年の瀬の、のんきな緑。The town in the twelfth month; at the greengrocer's stall the onions have sprouted. Even as they wait to be sold, life begins to stir on its own. A carefree green amid the year's hurried end.
