枯れてゆく草が、ふいに美しいと思えて、その中に腰をおろす。盛りの花ではなく、枯れてゆくものの色に目がとまる。すわる、というだけの動きに、深いうなずきがある。The withering grass suddenly strikes him as beautiful, and he sits down in the midst of it. Not the flowers at their peak, but the color of things fading, catches his eye. In the single act of sitting, there is a deep assent.
