竹の子がみんな竹になってしまうと、藪はしんと静まる。ぐんぐん伸びる季節の勢いが過ぎたあとの静けさ。読点を打った「しづけさ、」の間が、そのまま句の呼吸になっている。Once the bamboo shoots have all become bamboo, the thicket falls utterly still.
