柿の若葉が空にかがやいている。その下で、自分は死なずにいる。生きているというより「死なずにいる」。若葉のまぶしさが、その命をつなぎとめている。The young persimmon leaves shine against the sky. Beneath them, he goes on not dying. Not so much living as "not dying." The dazzle of the young leaves is what holds his life in place.
